Our Story
Welcome to Kashtii Saree, where nature meets tradition, and handloom craftsmanship finds a contemporary voice. I’m Priyanka Daas, the founder of Kashtii Saree, and my journey began in the serene landscapes of Andaman, where I was born and raised. The peaceful connection with nature there has always been a significant part of who I am.
Every summer, I would travel to my maternal grandfather’s home in Phulia, West Bengal. Phulia, a small town known for its exquisite Tangail saris, is where my love for handloom was truly nurtured. During those vacations, I spent time with the weaver community, learning and appreciating the intricate process of handloom weaving, which left a lasting impression on me.
After completing my engineering degree in Bangalore, I embarked on a decade-long career in IT. However, the hustle and bustle of city life never resonated with my true self. My husband and I eventually chose to leave behind the urban grind and settle in the tranquil environment of Odisha, where my in-laws reside. This return to nature deepened my appreciation for its beauty and simplicity.
It was here that the idea of Kashtii was born—a sustainable clothing brand that reflects my journey and values. At Kashtii, our mission is to infuse traditional Indian crafts with a fresh, contemporary twist, offering a unique range of clothing. We carefully select our fabrics to ensure comfort for every occasion, allowing you to stand out with designs that are both quirky and graceful. Each garment is a labor of love, handcrafted by artisans from across the country, embodying their rich cultural heritage and exceptional craftsmanship.
